Second Brazil National-Local Dialogue
The dialogue will focus on further strengthening metropolitan and interfederative governance across three Brazilian regions.
The 2nd National-Local Dialogue of UrbanShift Brazil, will focus on further strengthening metropolitan and interfederative governance across three Brazilian regions: Belém, Florianópolis, and Greater Teresina.
Gathering municipal, state, and national authorities, as well as urban planning professionals, for a two-day in-person program discussions will cover the articulation of global agendas with local governance, current challenges and advances in metropolitan cooperation, and region-specific cases.
The second day will be focused on co-creating regional action plans aimed at enhancing governance structures, with participants collaboratively identifying short-, medium-, and long-term priorities, responsibilities, and expected outcomes.
The dialogue will conclude with a presentation of the proposed action plans and a round of collective feedback to refine them. The overall goal is to foster collaboration, capacity-building, and strategic alignment to support equitable and sustainable urban transformation in Brazil’s metropolitan regions.
