Urvi Patel is a Project Coordinator with WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities’ Deep Dive Cities Initiative, which provides strategic funding and enhances technical capacity across the program to support a range of urban development projects. She supports coordination and planning efforts, helping to track progress and manage deliverables. She also supports UrbanShift, an initiative by WRI Ross Center and partners advancing sustainable and inclusive urban development across 23 cities in developing economies. Prior to this role, she worked as an intern with UrbanShift.

Before joining WRI, Urvi held research and policy roles at the Maryland General Assembly and Montgomery County Government. She has worked on environmental policy, climate adaptation, traffic safety, and sustainability, with experience in research, data analysis, and stakeholder coordination.

Urvi holds a Master of Public Policy in Environmental Policy and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Science and Policy and Geographical Sciences. She lives in Columbia, Maryland.
