Transformative Actions Program for UrbanShift
2021 Annual Report
This report summarizes the recent activities of the Transformative Actions Program (TAP) and highlights the challenges of accessing climate finance in global South cities.
Achieving the Paris Agreement’s goals requires substantial investment in climate finance. The use of innovative financing instruments, especially at the local level, is a key component of climate-related investment.
In response to the urgent needs of sub-national governments and recognizing the constraints they face in accessing finance to implement climate infrastructure projects, ICLEI's Transformative Actions Program (TAP) aims to strengthen local capacity and improve capital flows toward such projects.
This report summarizes recent TAP activities and highlights progress vis-a-vis the goals of the UrbanShift program.
