India is one of the world’s fastest-growing economies and accounts for over 17% of the global population. UrbanShift works in five Indian cities: Chennai, Pune and Surat, as well as Agra and the Puducherry Union Territory.
Sierra Leone is one of Africa’s smallest countries by size, with an urban population of 3.4 million. UrbanShift is engaged in Freetown and seven additional cities: Western Area District, Makeni, Koidu New Sembehun, Kenema, Bo, Port Loko and Bonthe.
Rwanda is located in the Great Lakes region of East Africa and has an urban population of about 2.2 million. UrbanShift is engaged in the capital, Kigali, as well as six additional cities: Huye, Muhanga, Musanze, Nyagatare, Rubavu and Rusizi.
Morocco is home to over 36 million inhabitants and has the third largest economy in North Africa. UrbanShift is engaged in the city of Marrakech, which comprises about 5% of Morocco’s urban population.
Brazil is the most biologically diverse country on the planet and the sixth most populous. Of its 212 million inhabitants, 87% reside in urban areas. UrbanShift supports three cities in Brazil: Belém, Florianópolis and Teresina.
